The referee showed Bergamese's H. Glatzenkopp the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Mondanity took the lead 18 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. M. Turudić was the scorer. 38 minutes into the match, L. Van Cromphaut came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Bergamese's J. Hoz Mulero put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 41 minutes, but the ball went wide. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Mondanity had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Bergamese's A. Cordonnier put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 47 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. It might be a while before the fans see Bergamese's R. Willenfels again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 51 minute mark. He was replaced by S. Jarvis. A well placed corner kick from A. Francescoli was followed by J. Baraut's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Mondanity, the score now 1 - 2. After 70 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for M. Poggiolesi who increased Mondanity's lead to 1 - 3. After 74 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed M. Sierek to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 4. By now, the players in Mondanity felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. M. Lamus tried to get a goal back for Bergamese but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. An accurate cross from L. Van Cromphaut of Mondanity was met with a wonderful glancing header from M. Marques, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 1 - 5. After the ball was lifted in from the left, M. Turudić was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 84 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. With 85 minutes played, M. Sierek of Mondanity fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 86 minutes, Bergamese were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. F. Agen did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. The visitors' M. Turudić took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 86 minutes into the match. 1 - 6 for Mondanity. Some fine movement on the left led to a Mondanity goal after 87 minutes, making it 1 - 7. M. Marques was noted down as the scorer. Possession in this half belonged to Mondanity, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Bergamese's top performer was clearly H. Glatzenkopp. However, S. Jarvis made a disastrous appearance. A. Francescoli performed admirably for Mondanity. M. Poggiolesi turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 7.
