Lamus could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, T. Sayılgan got himself booked. The manager of VERDE was not happy. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Bergamese, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

65 minutes into the match, S. van Etten came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. I. Krummensee left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. P. Pavese was the replacement. It was obvious that VERDE had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. With 79 minutes played, VERDE put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was P. Mulè. At this point, it was obvious that the players of VERDE lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 84 minutes into the game VERDE managed a counterattack, but P. Pavese took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. 86 minutes into the game, VERDE worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bergamese, with 53 percent of the ball.

Most important Bergamese player was H. Glatzenkopp. S. Jarvis was a disappointment, however. E. Mikhailov performed admirably for VERDE. On the other hand, G. Cerbaia's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 3.
