Clear skies welcomed the 35403 spectators who had made their way to Tarallo Bridge. Morten Kristiansen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Thore Robatsch and Cristiano Dall'Armellina. Tarallo tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Morales - Bruzda, Geertsen, Rus - Mansilla, Raffaele, Kolding, Ertaç, Granalosa - Mirabile, Buergi.

Sutri decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. The following players took the field: Pressi - Maronna, Kapica, Tavecchio, Chao, Romeuf - Sattler, Pestarino, Mikaelsson - Mansur, Mümin.

Tarallo saw most attack opportunities on the wings. For their match strategy, Sutri had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Tarallo had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Tarallo took the lead after 13 minutes as a result of D. Buergi's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. D. Buergi unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Sutri's C. Mikaelsson was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 24 minutes. 28 minutes into the game, Tarallo were awarded a penalty that E. Geertsen turned into 2 - 0 without a problem. With 36 minutes played, F. Mümin of Sutri fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Tarallo's opponents know to be wary of J. Granalosa's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 41 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! Tarallo's E. Geertsen struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 3 - 0 after 42 minutes. A counterattack by Sutri after 44 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but S. Mansur, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Tarallo had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

Tarallo's A. Mirabile swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. The goal to make it 3 - 1 was scored by S. Mansur after 49 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by Sutri. With 65 minutes played, the Sutri coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. M. Drozd came on, H. Sattler had to leave the fray. Sutri needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes S. Mansur made way for B. Blatt. The Tarallo players could smell victory in the air. M. Kolding wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Hoornstra after 73 minutes. E. Geertsen became the new Tarallo captain. C. Tavecchio was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Sutri's defence 75 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 3 - 2. With 79 minutes played, Tarallo's G. Hoornstra almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. With their counter attack move halted 80 minutes into the game, Sutri were left with a free kick. The ball is passed straight through to the other end of the penalty area, with hopes for it to reach A. Maronna. However, he didn't have his wits about him and the ball went out. Tarallo's D. Buergi increased the lead to 4 - 2, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 84 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Tarallo, with 60 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Tarallo player was without a doubt F. Mansilla. However, C. Morales made a disastrous appearance. Sutri's top performer was clearly F. Mümin. A. Maronna turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
