Hanhineva was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 42 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. 43 minutes into the match Liviorpool's L. Nini head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. Liviorpool took the lead after 44 minutes making the score 1 - 2. A. Río placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. At the 44 minute mark, it looked like the opportunity for Liviorpool to score had been missed until A. Gavalda suddenly worked his way clear and fired off a spectacular shot. The keeper had no chance! 1 - 3. 44 minutes into the match, msgc's S. Nollo collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 2 - 3. 2 - 3 was the score after the first half. msgc had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

msgc had to make a substitution after 49 minutes. 彭. 顺轩 (Shunxuan) limped off the field and was replaced by A. Di Iorio. msgc's H. Lousado made a successful breakthrough on the left after 51 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 70 minutes gave msgc a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and N. Mourot stepped up to the challenge. 3 - 3 Down the middle came A. Gavalda, making a fantastic play that nearly had Liviorpool take the lead after 71 minutes, but D. Belkheir preserved the tie. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave E. Bazzani from Liviorpool a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 72 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Priding himself in being an active coach, the msgc manager gave new instructions to his players after 75 minutes. 75 minutes into the match, the msgc manager wanted to try a new tactic, and the players loyally obliged.
