Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Drunken Stadium saw a crowd turnout of 36000. Tony Meade was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Per av Lofti and Peter Tomshøj. The Drunks free kick 67 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of O. Hical, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 5 - 1! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Drunks lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Drunks's L. Vila left the field after 82 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was E. Bichow. M. Vandoninck got left behind when Drunks's E. Gaspar made a sudden run forward after 84 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 6 - 1! Drunks claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

The most dominating Drunks player was without a doubt R. Brentjes. E. Bichow on the other hand, had a terrible day. F. Hansen performed admirably for Sporting. E. Schär was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
