It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 29156 that came out to
Orenga Stadium.
Janne Ahokainen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jérémy Houillon and
Lucjan Franik.
Orenga FC started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Franze - Viola, Tonev, Moscatello - Cieplicki, Polat, Reiter, Duarte, Merillat - Gerrits, von Ah.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Carps.

Carps used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
With 3 minutes played, Orenga FC's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
O. Tonev he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 0.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Orenga FC to 2 - 0 as
T. Cieplicki finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
M. Viola should probably have put his team up another goal after 20 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
O. Torra kept the visitors in the game.
After 26 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
R. Gerrits might have resulted in another goal for Orenga FC. However,
O. Torra made a spectacular save.
Halftime score was 2 - 0.
Carps enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
O. Tonev found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
The counterattacks of Orenga FC were deadly and 61 minutes into the game,
Â. Duarte received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 3 - 0.
Confident in their lead, Orenga FC's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
With 70 minutes played, the Carps coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
E. Melucci came on,
D. Giesen had to leave the fray.
74 minutes into the game,
Y. Reiter had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
M. Mândroiu.
Carps needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes
A. Aquilano made way for
P. Venezia.
Orenga FC increased the lead as
R. Gerrits struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
A well-executed free kick by
R. Merillat after 81 minutes made it 5 - 0 for Orenga FC.
Orenga FC's
G. von Ah swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Carps's
T. Holopainen was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 85 minutes.
F. Ceneroni was given a chance to change things around.
Orenga FC had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
V. Moscatello performed admirably for Orenga FC.
A. Franze on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Carps player was without a doubt
L. Román.
O. Torra turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 5 - 0.
