previous 4/4 next 2/4  Lambro 3 - 0 larghe (381755200)

Dark skies made the crowd of 27521 at FANCULLO STADIUM a little nervous, but the rain held off. Mattias Pettersson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alejandro Jose Cigoj and Cezinha Buarque. Lambro decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. The following players took the field: Verolino - Lagomarsini, Proto, Qosja - Baltico, Guglielmino, Thomas, Raimondo - Di Natale, Branchini, Panzarino.

larghe tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Daher - Farràs, Luratti, Iğla - Kuil, Madeddu, Lipaslauskas, Littlemore, Arcor - Toma, Sachkov.

Lambro used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. The crowd gasped as H. Sachkov of larghe was flattened by an opponent after 13 minutes and had to be carried off. V. Rainato came in off the bench. G. Guglielmino gave Lambro the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 25 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when E. Arcor tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, L. Toma got himself booked. The manager of larghe was not happy. 37 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Proto broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Lambro. After 40 minutes, a deliberate handball from larghe's L. Toma was judged to be his second bookable offence, and he was sent off. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Lambro claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

As the game started to slip away for larghe, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Lambro's A. Di Natale increasing the lead to 3 - 0. By now, the players in Lambro felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The larghe players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. After 80 minutes, larghe used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. Possession in this half belonged to Lambro, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

Most important Lambro player was A. Di Natale. G. Raimondo on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating larghe player was without a doubt A. Daher. On the other hand, M. Farràs's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 0.
