It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 20728 that came out to
Sambodromo.
Ivaylo Vodenicharov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Steven Gifford and
Wilhelm Mazurkiewicz.
The derby had been the talk of
Marche all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
Salaria started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
They fielded: Bardugo - Pacheco, Mafli, Rothengatter - Kazheli, Luchetta, Fréville, Myyryläinen - Kroitoro, Ghedin, Viherma.
BOBBY decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: López - Ernoyan, Auguets, Elvira, Backár - Guerreiro Alves, Di Bartolo, Cecinato, Andracchio - Kavuľa, Pedri.
Slack defending gave Salaria a chance to take the lead with 7 minutes played, but
J. Rothengatter's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition.
O. Bardugo looked great 17 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors'
U. Cecinato.
Salaria made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
T. Pacheco completely alone with keeper
E. López, who made a spectacular block.
33 minutes into the game,
A. Guerreiro Alves finished off a BOBBY left wing counterattack, making the score 0 - 1.
The crowd was on its feet 34 minutes into the match, as Salaria's
P. Ghedin found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 1 - 1 equaliser.
Salaria took the lead 42 minutes in, as
T. Viherma broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
Salaria claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
T. Pacheco increased Salaria's lead to 3 - 1 with a penalty spot cannonball.
Salaria's
B. Mafli had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 72 minutes having been played.
P. Marrocco was the replacement.
T. Pacheco was handed the Salaria captain's armband.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Salaria scored another to make it 4 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
J. Rothengatter after 74 minutes.
Salaria's
Y. Fréville got himself booked for a foul.
The intense heat forced
R. Di Bartolo into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others.
M. Kazheli could have put Salaria up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 86 minutes.
F. Andracchio of BOBBY was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Salaria, with 58 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Salaria player was without a doubt
T. Viherma.
P. Marrocco on the other hand, had a terrible day.
BOBBY's best player was
U. Cecinato.
On the other hand,
J. Elvira's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 1.
