Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and TORSIDAO saw a crowd turnout of 13695. Cristian Manu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Catello Mozzon and Jorge Domingues. ANIMALS started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Amori - Tunca, Innacolo, Rojo - Colunga, Andronico, Carollo, Kisch, Bastía - Turaç, Rzopiak.

Black had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Öner - Marquina, Blaakmeer, Mübarek - Matarasso, Pupazzi, Monfardini, Suomäki, Ascanio - Vernidub, Pineda.

It was an obvious ambition of Black to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. ANIMALS fans held their breath as H. Kisch scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! ANIMALS's A. Turaç was shown a yellow card after 24 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 26 minutes Black's S. Mübarek had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. A. Ahlgård came in to replace him. A. Marquina was the new captain of Black - handed the armband by the departing player. The home side's A. Tunca came close to extending the lead 29 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but D. Öner managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. ANIMALS put themselves up 2 - 0 when A. Turaç broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by ANIMALS, with 52 percent of the ball.

The referee showed Black's R. Monfardini the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. W. Andronico of ANIMALS was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It was obvious that Black had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Coming in on the left, N. Vernidub did everything right to get a goal for Black after 79 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. After 80 minutes, H. Ascanio sent the corner kick right to N. Vernidub who headed it sharply past the keeper. 2 - 1! Black were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. The crowd was silenced 83 minutes into the match as the visiting team's N. Vernidub came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, C. Carollo scored for ANIMALS putting them ahead 3 - 2, after 84 minutes. ANIMALS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

ANIMALS's top performer was clearly H. Kisch. C. Amori turned in a dismal performance, however. J. Suomäki performed admirably for Black. However, A. Ahlgård made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
