Buurman, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. Carcarlese's S. Diversi got himself booked for a foul. In a fantastic display of determination, 8bello's S. Durcan forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. Carcarlese made it 0 - 1 as J. Diks got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to A. Beó who whipped a low drive in off the far post. After a scuffle in the guests' penalty area 38 minutes into the game, the home team was awarded a penalty. R. Standaert scored to make it 1 - 1. Some great play up the middle by 8bello led to a chance for S. Durcan to score after 40 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Halftime score was 1 - 1. 8bello claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

8bello's E. Campo tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Given a free kick close to the byline, 8bello tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let H. Buurman slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 1, 54 minutes into the game. Carcarlese were close to putting the equaliser away after 69 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to K. Vesterling in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by 8bello, with 55 percent of the ball.

R. Mühlendahl performed admirably for 8bello. H. Buurman on the other hand, had a terrible day. Carcarlese's best player was F. Retima. M. Cavalli turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
