previous 8/10 next 10/10  DZ FFC 2 - 1 Luciano (381791751)

28000 punters turned up at Colosseum, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Robert Buchmüller was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tore Lundstrand and Andrzej Dziędziel. DZ FFC started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Desoutter - 興義 (Xingyi), Jezierski, Schwaiger - Guštin, Zuchart, Baysinger, Várzea, Manna - Ragnstad, Raś.

Luciano tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Eirron - Di Bartolo, Angevare, Gullman - Pouliakis, Dargitz, Gaioni, Gollner, Shun Dong - Cabral, Dupré.

A spectacular volley from M. Dupré almost resulted in a goal, but a good save from the keeper kept it out, and C. Pouliakis could only knock the loose ball wide. After 25 minutes, Luciano put themselves up 0 - 1, as S. Cabral finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. The crowd chanted their encouragement as DZ FFC's U. Baysinger came in from the right after 28 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. Luciano's L. Shun Dong refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 32 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. DZ FFC claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

DZ FFC took the lead 51 minutes in, as W. Raś broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Luciano had a chance to level the score as M. Dargitz suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. G. Zuchart left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 62 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. S. Zdradovskiy was the replacement. U. Ragnstad wanted to play on, but the DZ FFC coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 74 minutes into the game by A. Pizzi. U. Baysinger was the new captain of DZ FFC - handed the armband by the departing player. After 80 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by J. Guštin might have resulted in another goal for DZ FFC. However, S. Eirron made a spectacular save. A great save by keeper S. Eirron after 81 minutes kept the visitors in the game after 楊. 興義 (Xingyi) struck from the left with a real cannonball. Luciano's J. Gullman got himself booked for a foul. DZ FFC had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

Most important DZ FFC player was W. Raś. J. Guštin was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Luciano player was without a doubt G. Angevare. L. Shun Dong on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.
