Ringgenberg was marked down as the scorer. Many thought B. Vermout ought to have been awarded a penalty 39 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around B. Kibboua after a determined run through the middle. Halftime score was 1 - 1. intrepida had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

The sun seemed to put D. Tschanen in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to A. Ringgenberg, but the intrepida player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! intrepida managed to extend their lead to 3 - 1 when A. Ringgenberg cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. That made three goals for A. Ringgenberg and he was marked down for the hat trick. The players of intrepida now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
