F. Cisorio, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. The home crowd cheered when, after 53 minutes, M. Boussaïdi's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 56 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as I. Dukshtein finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Players in F.C. heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. With 63 minutes played, F.C. put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was H. Carsí. F.C. increased their lead after 64 minutes when M. Boussaïdi broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. After this, you could see that the players of F.C. were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 68 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by F.C. was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Ljubanović from Atletico a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 75 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Unfortunately for F.C., V. Martinez was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. M. Tantera replaced him. F.C. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

R. Deyna performed admirably for Atletico. S. Petrikowsky on the other hand, had a terrible day. F.C.'s top performer was clearly M. Boussaïdi. M. Sánchez Ochoa was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
