Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 22217 at Red Temple today. Edmond Meerbusch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rodrigo Brigati and Kusi Bechler. Kızkaçıran broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Kost. Some things can only be learned through experience, and S. Mathiasen should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Gazzosa a goal with 32 minutes of the match played. Kost increased the lead as N. Panepinto struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Kost's M. Pommier increasing the lead to 4 - 0. The players of Kost now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Gazzosa had to make a substitution after 41 minutes. A. Malavasi limped off the field and was replaced by A. Ilardi. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kost, with 70 percent of the ball.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Kost scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for T. Navrozashvili after 50 minutes. Cheers filled the stadium as P. Kızkaçıran broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to Kost. P. Kızkaçıran had a fantastic opportunity to put Kost up another goal 62 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. After 65 minutes, Gazzosa switched A. Durand with W. Pendl, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Kost managed to extend their lead to 7 - 0 when M. Leperski cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Kost's E. Venerucci was shown a yellow card after 70 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Gazzosa needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes P. Strandgren made way for G. Nafarrondo. Possession in this half belonged to Kost, who controlled the ball 71 percent of the time.

T. Navrozashvili performed admirably for Kost. E. Venerucci on the other hand, had a terrible day. Gazzosa's top performer was clearly L. Falvo. M. Chłodek was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
