Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 12000 at La Tragica Arena today. Christian Botor was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Silviu Tudorache and Andre Rameder. Tragica decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Arco - D'Attoma, Canovo, Bertora, Curi - Magistris, Cracchiolo, Casolo, Zavattini - De Rossi, Marotta.

Ciaccati started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Uccello - Goffard, Larsson, El-Shareef - Puukko, Vansover, Holmstrup, Carlsson, Magnusson - Zaremba, Trevijano.

Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 5 minutes into the match, and S. Trevijano wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. C. Canovo's inexperience was obvious when his continual hesitation to put in a tackle allowed S. Trevijano plenty of time to pick an unguarded area of the goal for his shot, marking one for Ciaccati. 0 - 2. After 26 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed S. Trevijano to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for S. Trevijano. After 28 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave P. Holmstrup a chance to increase the lead for Ciaccati, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. Ciaccati's J. Goffard was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Tragica, as W. Zavattini left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. A. Deplano took his place on the field. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave S. Trevijano from Ciaccati a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Due to a severely mistimed tackle, A. Bertora of Tragica spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Ciaccati's J. Magnusson somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for B. Zaremba, who struck for 0 - 5. By now, the players in Ciaccati felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With 39 minutes played, Ciaccati's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to T. Carlsson he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 6. 0 - 6 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Ciaccati, who controlled the ball 85 percent of the time.

47 minutes into the match, T. Larsson came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. R. Vansover dispatched a majestic long shot 51 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. The home crowd was not impressed when T. Carlsson came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 67 minutes. Ciaccati were now up 0 - 7. Ciaccati's B. Zaremba got himself booked for a foul. G. Cracchiolo's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Tragica, he bravely continued in the match. With 74 minutes played, Ciaccati put themselves up 0 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was J. Magnusson. After 76 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for J. Magnusson who increased Ciaccati's lead to 0 - 9. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ciaccati, with 87 percent of the ball.

A. Casolo performed admirably for Tragica. C. Canovo on the other hand, had a terrible day. Ciaccati's best player was S. Trevijano. However, J. Magnusson made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 9.
