(381834896)

11-08-2012 12.20
Dark skies made the crowd of 10457 at
De la hoja y de la Suerte a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Vishkull Luga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ugo Fondi and
Brisko Heidrich.
Feanor tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
The following players took the field: Poittevin - Tomaselli, Lembo, Zaccari - Masetti, Marcaccio, Selimaj, Di Francesco - Tota, Di Brandimarte, Folliero.
Sheeps started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Fiorettoni - Venuleth, Nadim, Maaßen - Falcicchio, Cannas, Iannone, Masip - Camps, Perona, Steinbrunner.
Sheeps were clearly looking ahead to the next match rather than focusing on the one at hand.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Feanor.
The visiting
L. Steinbrunner was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 2 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.
After 3 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
M. Camps who increased Sheeps's lead to 0 - 2.
8 minutes in, Sheeps's
G. Venuleth received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
The player down was
M. Selimaj. The Feanor bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up.
R. Tomaselli did everything he could to get one back for his Feanor, but keeper
A. Fiorettoni denied him with a spectacular block.
After 36 minutes, Sheeps's
S. Perona burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3.
S. Tota of Feanor received a yellow card after 37 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
0 - 3 was the score after the first half.
Sheeps claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.
C. Cannas increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4.
After this, you could see that the players of Sheeps were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The home keeper was stunned 49 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by
P. Iannone and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 0 - 5.
The visitors'
L. Steinbrunner took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 65 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Sheeps.
After 66 minutes of game time,
L. Steinbrunner had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
Q. Poittevin was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
67 minutes into the game Feanor managed a counterattack, but
S. Di Francesco took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper.
Possession in this half belonged to Sheeps, who controlled the ball 75 percent of the time.
The most dominating Feanor player was without a doubt
S. Tota.
S. Lembo was a disappointment, however.
Sheeps's best player was
M. Camps.
M. Maaßen on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 6.
