Sanguanini's lack of experience almost gave Limort a goal after 32 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. The home crowd was not impressed when L. Myhr came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 35 minutes. Mongibello were now up 0 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Mongibello lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Mongibello had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

After 46 minutes, the Mongibello players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game.
