14-07-2012 12.20
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 20636 at
Emas Soccer Stadium today.
Panu Rasimäki was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Roger Forsborg and
Hugo Nataf.
Soccer decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Bichinashvili - Casablanca, Stuttgarter, Aletti - Hubička, Chirkunov, Fabius, Hagmayr, Villareal - Atchugarry, Pirolo.
Amap tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Pia - Klemm, Ecesun, Forrest, Chibante - Serafini, Aberjel, Šimat, Havi, Steinbauer - Buźniak.
The wings were the focus of most of Soccer's attacks today.
A. Pirolo gave Soccer the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
It was obvious that Soccer had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Soccer's
A. Pirolo swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
Soccer had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
A great save by keeper
L. Pia after 13 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
A. Pirolo struck from the left with a real cannonball.
Soccer were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 14 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by
P. Fabius. 2 - 0 for the home side.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Soccer, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
Amap's
M. Ecesun got himself booked for a foul.
G. Villareal was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Soccer's
M. Cultrera had to come off the bench.
Amap needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes
J. Chibante made way for
E. Ibarra.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Amap's
A. Serafini was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes.
R. Frasson was given a chance to change things around.
Soccer's
F. Hagmayr had an excellent opportunity after 76 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
There was concern in the stands when, at the 78 minute mark, Amap's
R. Frasson hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
R. Frasson of Amap received a yellow card after 83 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
F. Klemm got himself booked. The manager of Amap was not happy.
Soccer claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
Soccer's top performer was clearly
E. Atchugarry.
However,
P. Fabius made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating Amap player was without a doubt
P. Buźniak.
On the other hand,
F. Klemm's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 0.
