A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 12450 to stadio Alberto Braglia. Ābrams Lujāns was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Antti Vainio and Mogens Hedegaard. US:RM-MO decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Ferrucci - Mahlberg, Bove, Haasnoot - Fietz, Pronstorf, Vacirca, Appel, Fattovich - Azevedo Soares, Trenta.

IUNAITID tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Shitrit - Caballero, Ovcharov, Previtali - Ranera, van Amerongen, Dam, Gschwandtner, Foldgast - Raposo, Kjeldsen.

US:RM-MO used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. The most controversial moment of the game was likely the penalty given after 6 minutes. IUNAITID's M. Raposo kept his concentration, despite the upset crowd, and calmly put the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1. I. Caballero's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. M. Raposo increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. A well placed corner kick from R. Mahlberg was followed by G. Fattovich's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for US:RM-MO, the score now 1 - 2. With 31 minutes played, G. Previtali nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave B. Pronstorf from US:RM-MO a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 32 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! US:RM-MO had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. 40 minutes into the match, C. Kjeldsen came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. R. Appel made a superb strike after 43 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. Halftime score was 1 - 2. IUNAITID enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

G. Previtali left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. D. Thörnbratt was the replacement. I. Caballero wanted to play on, but the IUNAITID coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 48 minutes into the game by J. Hanoulle. Content with how the game was proceeding, the IUNAITID coach let M. Vintém replace T. Gschwandtner after 48 minutes. After 65 minutes, US:RM-MO switched M. Fietz with P. Kospoth, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The home crowd cheered when, after 67 minutes, C. Kjeldsen's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. US:RM-MO's A. Azevedo Soares put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 72 minutes, but the ball went wide. After 75 minutes of play, A. Trenta evened things up for US:RM-MO with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. IUNAITID had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

A. Trenta performed admirably for US:RM-MO. G. Fattovich turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important IUNAITID player was C. Kjeldsen. However, J. Hanoulle made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
