The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Muñoz from BDW06 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 38 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With 39 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as J. Muñoz flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. It was 1 - 0 at the break. BDW06 had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

BDW06's J. Muñoz lived up to his reputation for finding unexpected ways to get the ball in the net when he sent a nifty little pass over to J. Lüssen who finished for 2 - 0 with 60 minutes of the match played. Confident in their lead, BDW06's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Ponsacco's E. Gadža was shown a yellow card after 78 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by BDW06, with 57 percent of the ball.

C. Dilg-Günther performed admirably for BDW06. However, B. Barbu made a disastrous appearance. Ponsacco's top performer was clearly T. Ergünal. G. Silvestroni turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
