A scorching day at
Mojo Workin Stadium, where 13082 spectators were in place for today's match.
Rowin Offermans was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Luděk Pozor and
Manoel Joaquim Assunção.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Workin.
The following players took the field: Policella - Deurloo, Baś, Koudelka - Thongwiset, Friedinger, Hunya, Braunberģis, Tévez - Quevedo, Nešković.
BAGGESE started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Lineup: Prestogiovanni - Laino, Miante, Romanisio, Rosso - Sallustio, Minischetti, Mangiacavalli, Iovenitti - Chiariti, Bonadiman.
Workin clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
It was obvious that team Workin had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
I. Baś caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 13 minutes. This gave Workin the 1 - 0 lead.
Cheers filled the stadium as
I. Baś broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Workin.
Workin had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Workin's
R. Hunya increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
The head of
M. Tévez connected with a corner kick after 39 minutes, and the ball ended up with
P. Friedinger of Workin who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 4 - 0.
After this, you could see that the players of Workin were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Workin to 5 - 0 as
P. Friedinger finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
We may never know what
G. Miante was thinking when he tried to pass the ball through a crowd of opponents. Luckily for him, Workin's
M. Tévez somehow missed the wide open net.
43 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
P. Friedinger broke through, making the score 6 - 0 for Workin.
At that,
P. Friedinger was noted down for a hat trick!
6 - 0 was the halftime score.
Workin enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 91 percent of possession.
As usual,
A. Chiariti tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all.
Workin solidified their lead at the 55 minute mark, as
G. Quevedo dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 0.
Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Workin, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity.
M. Tévez should probably have put his team up another goal after 57 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
D. Prestogiovanni kept the visitors in the game.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
F. Nešković squirmed through their central defence after 58 minutes, increasing the lead to 8 - 0.
Workin increased the lead as
G. Quevedo struck to make the score 9 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
The referee showed BAGGESE's
G. Miante the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Workin coach let
Y. Loprieno replace
G. Quevedo after 70 minutes.
T. Thongwiset increased the lead for Workin to 10 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Workin had most of the ball, with 93 percent of possession.
Most important Workin player was
K. Braunberģis.
However,
J. Deurloo made a disastrous appearance.
BAGGESE's best player was
A. Chiariti.
D. Prestogiovanni was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 10 - 0.
