Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to
Tosto F.C. Arena.
Sergey 'Viejo' Sushchinskiy was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bradley MacPetrie and
Robin Rodmo.
Tosto decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Starters: Macario - Zanca, Pisani, De Laurentis, Fiore - Borredon, Calò, Barili, Morici - Stilla, Alcoba.
Gabido had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.
They fielded: Lelong - Urani, Čulík, Hökborn, Hábenczius - Boisgard, Amelotti, Silvera - Fodor, Frosztęga, Palma.
L. Silvera of Gabido seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
J. Boisgard.
With 4 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
M. Frosztęga of Gabido to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2.
Confident in their lead, Gabido's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
The referee signalled a penalty 32 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box.
J. Boisgard knocked it home to make the score 0 - 3.
Gabido increased their lead after 36 minutes when
M. Frosztęga broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay.
After 37 minutes of game time,
K. Fodor had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
D. Macario was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
Halftime score was 0 - 4.
Gabido enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 83 percent of possession.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Gabido goal after 47 minutes, making it 0 - 5.
L. Silvera was noted down as the scorer.
After 48 minutes
M. Frosztęga made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to
K. Fodor who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 6.
L. Silvera of Gabido took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 54 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 7.
At that,
L. Silvera was noted down for a hat trick!
That Gabido's
J. Boisgard has the ability of doing what no one expects him to do was shown as he ran over an opposing defender, snatched the ball and passed to
L. Palma who hit it hard into the wide open goal after 72 minutes: 0 - 8!
73 minutes into the game, Gabido worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by Gabido's
J. Boisgard put the visitors up 0 - 9 after 76 minutes.
M. Frosztęga increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 10.
That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
M. Frosztęga.
79 minutes into the game,
J. Boisgard had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
N. Kanniainen.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gabido, with 87 percent of the ball.
Tosto's best player was
G. Stilla.
M. Zanca was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Gabido player was without a doubt
M. Frosztęga.
J. Lelong turned in a dismal performance, however.
