14183 punters turned up at Borgoklaat Lucca, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Pavol Goňko was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Johan Larsson and Alessandro Martines. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Borgoklaat. A lot of people in the terraces claimed the penalty resulting in GPG's P. Ringot equaliser for 1 - 1 was a mistake by the referee. He did, however, have a very good view of the situation from his position. GPG had to make a substitution after 35 minutes. P. Ringot limped off the field and was replaced by A. Gasparetto. W. Nagtegaal of Borgoklaat was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Borgoklaat had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Borgoklaat broke through on the left 49 minutes into the game, with J. Due firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 2 - 1 lead. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Romanin got himself booked. The manager of GPG was not happy. Borgoklaat's B. Kratirov swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. GPG tied it all up, 86 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by A. Gasparetto, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 2 - 2. Borgoklaat's A. Mustafa got himself booked for a foul. GPG were forced into a substitution as A. Mekinz couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing G. Sargiotta to come in off the bench. M. Buerger was handed the GPG captain's armband. Possession in this half belonged to Borgoklaat, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Borgoklaat's top performer was clearly W. Nagtegaal. However, B. Kratirov made a disastrous appearance. Most important GPG player was S. Opra. L. Bjørke was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
