The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 21259 had shown up at
Olimpico Rosso for the match.
Sebastian Wierdziaszny was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Flávio Jobim and
Paul-Otto Sojka.
Jumbolos started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Solovtsov - Neuerburg, Mitrenga, Saarinen - Lubieniecki, Moosweg, Iñiguez-Abarca, Lindner, Schmitt - Carmando, Odgaard.
kyosuke had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation.
Lineup: Ceresi - Sanna, Ardustra, Tumminello, Klompe, Bulgarelli - Andrisano, Ardondi, Tartaglia, Buzzi - Citti.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 17 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
G. Lindner, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
After 27 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
M. Neuerburg gave the Jumbolos supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0.
kyosuke's
A. Tartaglia got himself booked for a foul.
After 37 minutes, Jumbolos were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise.
G. Lindner did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Jumbolos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.
78 minutes into the game, kyosuke seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
The home side's
R. Iñiguez-Abarca came close to extending the lead 80 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
D. Ceresi managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
With 84 minutes gone, Jumbolos had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
R. Iñiguez-Abarca did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
F. Ardustra from kyosuke a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 85 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Jumbolos solidified their lead at the 86 minute mark, as
C. Carmando dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Jumbolos lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
A great save by keeper
D. Ceresi after 88 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
C. Carmando struck from the left with a real cannonball.
Jumbolos had most of the ball, with 81 percent of possession.
Most important Jumbolos player was
C. Carmando.
However,
K. Lubieniecki made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating kyosuke player was without a doubt
M. Klompe.
U. Sanna was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 3 - 0.
