previous 7/10 next 9/10  neapolic 2 - 3 KrInter (381937464)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and neapolic stadium Arena saw a crowd turnout of 11403. Àlex Teixidó was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Arne Tveit and Kay Kuckuck. neapolic tactics involved an interesting 2-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Winkelmans - Carino, Popa - Schiavo, Turchi, Heimstetten, Fausch - Andersson, Szumilas, Lauxen.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for KrInter. Lineup: Celestini - Dávila, Huarte, Hâldan, Cubo - Oarză, Tahsin, Bascuñan, Cabana de Bergantiños - Villasana, Krautmann.

neapolic decided to play creatively. 10 minutes in, neapolic appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only poor. The guests took the lead 11 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in M. Tahsin scoring to make it 0 - 1. neapolic had to make a substitution after 14 minutes. P. Carino limped off the field and was replaced by J. Pick. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. KrInter enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

During the break, neapolic's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. After 48 minutes, neapolic switched R. Fausch with A. Ponsirenas, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. C. Huarte increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. The players of KrInter now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. neapolic supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to J. Pick who reduced the visitors' lead after 67 minutes to 1 - 2. KrInter increased their lead after 70 minutes when C. Huarte broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed neapolic's coach gave R. Oja the opportunity the player had been hoping for. D. Andersson reluctantly left the field. 77 minutes into the game, neapolic had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. neapolic made it 2 - 3 as F. Heimstetten got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to I. Popa who whipped a low drive in off the far post. 83 minutes into the match, S. Cabana de Bergantiños came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. KrInter claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

The most dominating neapolic player was without a doubt F. Heimstetten. However, K. Winkelmans made a disastrous appearance. KrInter's top performer was clearly J. Dávila. M. Celestini on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
