The crowd of 7985 turning up at Diabolika Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Confident in their lead, Diabolik's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. E. Mäkikangas slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. Diabolik's M. Szachewicz was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 42 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. van der Haven broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Diabolik. 43 minutes in, Pescaraman appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. 44 minutes into the game, Diabolik were awarded a penalty that M. van der Haven turned into 4 - 0 without a problem. After 44 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Pescaraman found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Diabolik claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

A review of the gameplan helped Pescaraman get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. The Pescaraman players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Pescaraman manager used a brief break in play after 72 minutes to give the players new directives. With 73 minutes played, the Pescaraman coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. N. Ciofani came on, T. Horta had to leave the fray. 73 minutes into the game, Pescaraman seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Pescaraman's M. Mavuli was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 74 minutes. M. Chemello was given a chance to change things around. 79 minutes into the game, Pescaraman seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. As the game started to slip away for Pescaraman, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. Pescaraman were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by B. Orostica. At last, Diabolik's D. Öttli was able to backheel the ball in. 5 - 0. The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit T. Cavanna just fine. Diabolik's D. Öttli saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 88 minutes. Diabolik had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Most important Diabolik player was M. Szachewicz. E. Mäkikangas was a disappointment, however. Pescaraman's top performer was clearly M. Chemello. L. Serrano Molera on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
