Procházka levelled the score for poliponi, making it 1 - 1 on a free kick that went in by way of the right post. Down the middle came O. Hansen, making a fantastic play that nearly had poliponi take the lead after 30 minutes, but C. Matewhitu preserved the tie. The guests almost went up by a goal after 36 minutes when M. Palmroth came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Some great play up the middle by palù led to a chance for K. Özdeş to score after 38 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. poliponi had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. With 39 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of poliponi resulted in a counterattack that set O. Hansen free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. After 42 minutes palù's K. Özdeş contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

46 minutes into the game, palù wanted to bring some new energy to their game. R. Palamides gave F. Rembò a quick hug as he left the field. The palù coach adjusted their lineup with 46 minutes gone. P. Savarino and G. Crespi assumed each other's positions. As the 46 minute mark approached, the poliponi coach decided it was time for a substitution. R. Martinez reluctantly made way for D. Berruti on the pitch. After 46 minutes, the palù coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving P. Savarino off the field. A. Vacirca took his place. poliponi's M. Palmroth could have put the guests one up after 62 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but C. K. Özdeş could have put palù into the lead after 74 minutes, but the free kick went just wide. G. Mircea would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. J. Chaler entered the game for palù as the match clock showed 78 minutes. As P. Niess had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the poliponi player a red card without batting an eyelid. 79 minutes in, palù appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. 82 minutes into the game, D. Berruti almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by poliponi, with 56 percent of the ball.

palù's best player was E. Brienza. F. Oseckis turned in a dismal performance, however. poliponi's top performer was clearly M. Palmroth. However, M. Buśko made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
