previous 8/10 next 10/10  Buongiornese 2 - 3 F.C.Ghignoni (381994929)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 9120 had shown up at Allegria Stadium for the match. Timmy de Zwaan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sylweriusz Golota and Conny Uddholt. Buongiornese tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Rizzuto - Molina, Klaer, Stjernén - Avidano, Gervasi, Sturnega, Regalo, Luijkx - Meccio, Abri.

F.C.Ghignoni decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Prancelevičius - Acero, Schnebli, Glasl, Manegatti - Pangallo, Verzotto, Edenharter, Olmi - Fiandino, Terrosi.

Buongiornese used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. The head of A. Stjernén connected with a corner kick after 14 minutes, and the ball ended up with D. Klaer of Buongiornese who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 1 - 0. Buongiornese's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. After 31 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after C. Fiandino made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. With 33 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. D. Pangallo put the ball away for 1 - 2. Buongiornese's L. Meccio got himself booked for a foul. No matter how hard he tried, G. Avidano just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 36 minutes. F.C.Ghignoni's N. Terrosi was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes. The referee showed Buongiornese's W. Molina the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Buongiornese, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

A tussle 57 minutes into the match resulted in a penalty being awarded to the home team and G. Avidano put the ball into the back of the net without any difficulty. That tied the score up at 2 - 2. F.C.Ghignoni's S. Acero gave the visitors a 2 - 3 lead after 72 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Buongiornese had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

The most dominating Buongiornese player was without a doubt A. Abri. R. Rizzuto was a disappointment, however. D. Pangallo performed admirably for F.C.Ghignoni. However, G. Olmi made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 3.
