Hoogland, but the FCVEGLIE player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 22 minutes into the game, jamesteam seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. jamesteam levelled the score after 24 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as T. Borghorst struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. After 25 minutes jamesteam's T. Borghorst limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 31 minutes into the game, T. Borghorst almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The guests almost went up by a goal after 36 minutes when 桑. 冠富 (Guanfu) came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. The visitors could have taken the lead from a free kick after 37 minutes, if it wasn't for the jaw-dropping save by D. Chessa. It was 1 - 1 at the break. jamesteam enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

During the break, jamesteam's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. After 60 minutes, FCVEGLIE surprised their opponents with a breakaway counter attack. The defenders had to resort to a foul to stop it. The free kick that followed was a clever indirect effort that almost succeeded, but the defence read the situation well and the intended recipient was left ruing what might have been. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 72 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. FCVEGLIE fans erupted in celebration as F. Hoogland rifled the ball into the the top corner. 2 - 1! FCVEGLIE made it 3 - 1 as K. Zellhofer got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to V. Leuppi who whipped a low drive in off the far post. By now, the players in FCVEGLIE felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. jamesteam reduced the lead after 75 minutes to 3 - 2 as T. Borghorst easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. There was concern in the stands when, at the 77 minute mark, FCVEGLIE's G. Xavier hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. An equalising goal seemed certain after 78 minutes when 桑. 冠富 (Guanfu) attacked down the left wing, but D. Chessa just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. 79 minutes into the game, jamesteam seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. jamesteam's R. Kelly was shown a yellow card after 80 minutes for slicing down an opponent. A loud groan was heard from the fans of FCVEGLIE, as G. Aluf left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. N. Zaffalon took his place on the field. The FCVEGLIE players could smell victory in the air. M. Cambiaghi wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for E. Pallino after 82 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to jamesteam, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.
