R. van Hanegem flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
With 23 minutes played, Zeneise put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to

At this point, it was obvious that the players of Zeneise lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
R. van Hanegem had a fantastic opportunity to put Zeneise up another goal 29 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
Zeneise increased the lead as

C. Portmann swiftly ran past
R. Heus and nutmegged the keeper! 6 - 0.
Milan~ were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
H. Dönhoff from Milan~ a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 81 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
A loud groan was heard from the fans of Zeneise, as
D. Chocho left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
R. Totton took his place on the field.
R. van Hanegem could have increased the lead after 86 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.

A bit later, Milan~'s
R. Westend easily reduced the lead to 6 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence.
