Galili came in from the right with the intention of giving Jolaurlo the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Verona enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Jolaurlo wanted to bring some new energy to their game. G. Silei gave F. Macrini a quick hug as he left the field. With 48 minutes gone, Verona had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, G. Hochbrück did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. T. Beijers would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. R. Anemone entered the game for Jolaurlo as the match clock showed 60 minutes. The Jolaurlo captaincy was handed to F. Ganji. With 72 minutes played, A. Gogg of Jolaurlo fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Jolaurlo had a magnificent opportunity after 80 minutes as F. Ganji hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. The guests took the lead 81 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in G. Hochbrück scoring to make it 0 - 1. After 84 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for B. Di Fraia who increased Verona's lead to 0 - 2. The visitors' B. Di Fraia took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 85 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Verona. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Verona lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The corner kick from R. Fuertes was powerfully met by the head of O. Galili to make the score 1 - 3. A drive down the left side allowed G. Hochbrück to get in close and score another goal for Verona after 88 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 4. Possession in this half belonged to Verona, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

Most important Jolaurlo player was A. Gogg. F. Macrini was a disappointment, however. A. Netzfang performed admirably for Verona. M. Manduchi on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
