The guests took the lead 20 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Y. Kovanen scoring to make it 0 - 1. After 37 minutes of play, A. Sarto evened things up for fichi with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1. 39 minutes into the game, A. Mella almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. A. Mella had a good try after 40 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. D. Pessina stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving fichi the goal to make it 2 - 1. B. Sintert was called on to replace Gyver's P. Linnet after 42 minutes following a nasty collision. The referee showed Gyver's Y. Kovanen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to fichi, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Gyver managed, after 47 minutes, to even the score at 2 - 2 with a lucky free kick by N. Mian. Somehow the ball squirmed its way through the defensive wall! fichi took the lead after 61 minutes as a result of L. Aschieris's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 3 - 2. A. Pinto's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from A. Mella's shot from the left 63 minutes into the match. fichi managed to extend their lead to 4 - 2 when D. Pessina cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. fichi put themselves up 5 - 2 when M. Ratomski broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. fichi's L. Aschieris had an excellent opportunity after 80 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! fichi had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Most important fichi player was G. Baranovszky. However, L. Aschieris made a disastrous appearance. N. Mian performed admirably for Gyver. On the other hand, J. Gazík's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 2.
