(382022845)

04-08-2012 12.55
Dark skies made the crowd of 12000 at
LA FOSSA DEL BANDIERONE a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Mauno Erkkilä was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Luca Schmuddelwetter and
Adriano Aparício.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Lombardia derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
Iron had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Cotte - Mandato, van Melis, Mesrur - Avellano, Paesschesoone, Cifuentes, Olcese, Baptista - Real, Monihart.
LUAteam tactics involved an interesting 3-5-1 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Pinto - Withelm, Miguel, Duguet - Sørnes, Michaud, Silverblad, Hladký, 憧平 (Chongping) - Janukaitis.
Iron made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
F. Monihart completely alone with keeper
A. Pinto, who made a spectacular block.
After 21 minutes LUAteam's
A. Pinto contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
They were singing the praises of
A. Real 27 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Iron.
28 minutes in, LUAteam appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
It was 1 - 0 at the break.
Iron had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of LUAteam was able to get his message across, and raised LUAteam's organisation to
passable.
The coach of Iron was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes,
L. Bisaga came on for
G. Cifuentes.
63 minutes into the game, LUAteam had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
weak.
The Iron players could smell victory in the air.
R. Mandato wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
M. Ganser after 65 minutes.
Iron solidified their lead at the 79 minute mark, as
F. Monihart dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Iron coach let
V. Ignelzi replace
O. Olcese after 82 minutes.
A weary-looking
F. Miguel struggled to keep pace with the advancing attack, but he just didn't have the energy and let Iron's
F. Monihart through to score, making it 3 - 0.
M. Ganser unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Cheers filled the stadium as
F. Monihart broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Iron.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
F. Monihart.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Iron, with 64 percent of the ball.
Iron's top performer was clearly
H. Baptista.
On the other hand,
C. Avellano's play was disheartening.
V. Janukaitis performed admirably for LUAteam.
S. Sørnes was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 0.
