The wings were the focus of most of Pozzuolo-Calcio's attacks today. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Pozzuolo-Calcio, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. The terraces were silenced after 12 minutes when Pozzuolo-Calcio's E. Immerzeel put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Pozzuolo-Calcio's G. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Pozzuolo-Calcio claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

It was obvious that Pozzuolo-Calcio had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. 53 minutes into the game M. Merlo could see that the opposing goalie was out of position and tried an unexpected lob that the keeper just barely reached. The rebound went to A. Challier who failed to hit the target. With 55 minutes played, G. Albrighi nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Atletic's P. Tognozzi found himself alone on the left side 57 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! M. Corrado was, after 59 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper M. Jervasi made the save. After the ball was lifted in from the left, E. Immerzeel was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 63 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. 65 minutes into the match, G. Albrighi came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Pozzuolo-Calcio enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.

The most dominating Atletic player was without a doubt D. Lanzarini. On the other hand, R. Gherghinaru's play was disheartening. Pozzuolo-Calcio's top performer was clearly M. Debacker. However, O. Jené made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 2.
