A free kick aimed at the keeper's far post almost gave Castelnuovo the lead 7 minutes in, but the ball just wasn't able to squirm its way through the defensive wall. A well placed corner kick from A. Bergese was followed by L. Mila's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Castelnuovo, the score now 0 - 1. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. F.C.P. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Castelnuovo's P. Fiksa was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - A. Bergese managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 2 after 62 minutes. The Castelnuovo players could smell victory in the air. P. Fiksa wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for S. Mastrocola after 70 minutes. It took several tries, but F.C.P. managed to break through on the left after 75 minutes, getting the ball to A. Arcella who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2. M. Zoni wanted to play on, but the Castelnuovo coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 77 minutes into the game by T. Beka. 83 minutes in, Castelnuovo's A. Bergese received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by F.C.P., with 52 percent of the ball.

The most dominating F.C.P. player was without a doubt T. Fayard. S. Huitema turned in a dismal performance, however. Castelnuovo's best player was A. Bergese. L. Mila on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 2.
