A scorching day at DiGio Stadium, where 9574 spectators were in place for today's match. Vital Kantz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Héctor Jusid and Rocco Brunthaler. DiGio decided to play creatively. After 19 minutes, B. Pinotti sent the corner kick right to K. Pirulak who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0! In an effort to secure the lead, DiGio changed their tactic after 20 minutes. Nuova levelled the score after 22 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as P. Ferdinand struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. J. Margievi caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty zone, but Nuova's T. Nunzi Conti's shot went just wide. DiGio's F. Mazziotti got himself booked for a foul. 37 minutes into the match Nuova's V. Mosconi couldn't take advantage of the penalty kick to put his team up by a goal. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Nuova, with 54 percent of the ball.

1 - 2 was the score with 56 minutes played, after G. Angiolini cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Nuova. After 72 minutes Nuova's F. Queijeiro contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. No matter how hard he tried, B. Vasiliu just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 73 minutes. H. Dumbravă got a fingertip on F. Queijeiro's shot from the left 75 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Nuova enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

DiGio's top performer was clearly F. Mazziotti. However, J. Margievi made a disastrous appearance. Most important Nuova player was T. Šljivar. P. Ferdinand was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
