(382090711)

14-07-2012 13.00
The 8660 fans in attendance at
TRENTINARA STADIUM were roasting in the hot sun.
Rudi Kadribašič was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Janne Hartwig and
Torben Johansen.
TRENTINARA decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Liardo - Filacchione, Pacilli, Lambroni - Caputo, Voroli, Jula, Cavoni, D'apolito - Bottini, Campeol.
fiorenas had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Gusmeroli - Badocchi, Giacomin, Bisegna, Ostengo - Testolin, Palumbo, Nannini, Berzi - Muciaccia, Saltarelli.
TRENTINARA decided to play creatively.
P. Voroli's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence.
fiorenas's
S. Saltarelli could have put the guests one up after 19 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
R. Liardo was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
D. Cavoni received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 31 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
TRENTINARA took the lead 35 minutes in, as
F. Bottini broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
TRENTINARA enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
F. Bottini had a fantastic opportunity to put TRENTINARA up another goal 65 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
After 66 minutes, the defensive line of fiorenas created a counterattack through the middle that gave
F. Nannini a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
After 68 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by
S. Saltarelli.
After 69 minutes of play,
D. Cavoni gave the home team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
An equalising goal seemed certain after 72 minutes when
M. Testolin attacked down the left wing, but
R. Liardo just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net.
G. Caputo's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 75 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to
F. Bottini who knocked it in for TRENTINARA. 3 - 1!
The heat made it a terrible day for
G. Lambroni, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players.
A great save by keeper
F. Gusmeroli after 82 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
F. Bottini struck from the left with a real cannonball.
fiorenas's
A. Badocchi was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 85 minutes.
Possession in this half belonged to TRENTINARA, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.
Most important TRENTINARA player was
P. Voroli.
However,
E. Jula made a disastrous appearance.
A. Muciaccia performed admirably for fiorenas.
On the other hand,
F. Gusmeroli's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 1.
