Clear skies welcomed the 6655 spectators who had made their way to
SSC Napoli United Arena.
Wilhelm-Theodor Greverad was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Søren Lieberkind and
Herbert Schiemer.
Napoli had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Zeppegno - Gulisano, Demarchi, Beatrice, Cervone - Lodadio, Ercolani, Caputo, Bonacci - Perillo, Nuzzaco.

Napoli had to make a substitution after 29 minutes.
S. Gulisano limped off the field and was replaced by

Nizzolaro increased their lead after 37 minutes when
G. Rizzetto broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay.
After this, you could see that the players of Nizzolaro were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Napoli's
M. Zeppegno left the field after 40 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
D. Napoli.
The referee signalled a penalty 42 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,

L. Peis.
0 - 5 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Nizzolaro, with 65 percent of the ball.
With 50 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
M. Comparelli needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
M. Crosio increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6.
A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
C. Zama. At last, Nizzolaro's
P. Gianola was able to backheel the ball in. 0 - 7.
Proving his experience,
T. Bordin scored 0 - 8 for Nizzolaro after putting some pressure on the opposing defence at a critical moment.

D. Napoli got a fingertip on
P. Gianola's shot from the left 78 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
The home crowd was not impressed when
M. Crosio came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 79 minutes. Nizzolaro were now up 0 - 10.
C. Peretti was called on to replace Nizzolaro's
F. Gilotti after 83 minutes following a nasty collision.
Nizzolaro claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
The most dominating Napoli player was without a doubt
M. Ercolani.
However,
E. Perillo made a disastrous appearance.
C. Zama performed admirably for Nizzolaro.
On the other hand,
A. Micari's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 10.
