Clouds darkened the skies at SweetYears Arena as 8238 spectators turned up for the match. Jorma Hökgren was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mattia Pignatelli and Sorin Mandache. It was an obvious ambition of J3J3TeaM to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 17 minutes, J3J3TeaM tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 18 minutes allowed K. Bárány to score for J3J3TeaM. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. SweetYears will have to do without G. De Gregorio for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 27 minute mark. He was substituted by F. Delourme. After 29 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for A. Staszowski who increased J3J3TeaM's lead to 0 - 2. F. Virgilio tried to get a goal back for SweetYears but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. SweetYears's S. Fundoni got himself booked for a foul. G. Bacenetti was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so J3J3TeaM's A. Saint Martin had to come off the bench. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. SweetYears had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

With the scoreboard showing that 51 minutes had been played, J3J3TeaM nearly put themselves up another goal after A. Saint Martin came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. After 57 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by SweetYears was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. J3J3TeaM's U. Hahtonen had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 59 minutes having been played. E. Pinto was the replacement. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 60 minutes into the match. D. Cocoş surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. R. Pettersen of J3J3TeaM received a yellow card after 68 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. R. Løber came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over A. Ciaccia but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Possession in this half belonged to J3J3TeaM, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

SweetYears's top performer was clearly C. Cosio. F. Delourme turned in a dismal performance, however. D. Fargeot performed admirably for J3J3TeaM. A. Ceccaroni was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
