Scuteri made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. The home crowd was not impressed when P. Tardini came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 30 minutes. Football were now up 1 - 3. Confident in their lead, Football's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Football enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

With 55 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, P. Tardini needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. The Football players could smell victory in the air. N. Klærke wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Călugăr after 60 minutes. After 60 minutes, Bulubu switched R. Kardaś with M. Vignes, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Football coach let J. Kubić replace T. Koenders after 65 minutes. Bulubu's M. Bontà could only shake his head after completely missing a penalty shot 68 minutes into the match. Bulubu's S. Alfarano got himself booked for a foul. The coach of Football was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, K. Hörnum came on for S. Scuteri. K. Hörnum was handed the Football captain's armband. Some fine movement on the left led to a Football goal after 73 minutes, making it 1 - 4. D. Baudaffi was noted down as the scorer.
