Spolaore but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. J. Tozzi's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. After 36 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for A. Fortuna who increased inter's lead to 0 - 3. Confident in their lead, inter's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. inter's A. Di Bidino got himself booked for a foul. One of many good crosses from P. Giordini on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by V. Incarbona, who scored for Alberobello. 1 - 3 G. Fontana of inter received a yellow card after 43 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. P. Francisco increased inter's lead to 1 - 4 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. 1 - 4 was the score after the first half. inter enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

The visitors' G. Fontana took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 54 minutes into the match. 1 - 5 for inter. Some fine movement on the left led to a inter goal after 67 minutes, making it 1 - 6. P. Francisco was noted down as the scorer. The game was close to savage at times, and inter's A. Di Bidino received a second yellow card after 74 minutes; his ticket out of the game. There was concern in the stands when, at the 75 minute mark, inter's G. Pernatsch hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. G. Pernatsch of inter took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 76 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 7. After 79 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave S. Palmarini a chance to increase the lead for inter, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 8. Possession in this half belonged to inter, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Alberobello's top performer was clearly J. Pinnella. However, D. Ginex made a disastrous appearance. Most important inter player was G. Pernatsch. V. Barbero turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 8.
