Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 8432 at
Arena Radioattiva today.
Bernhard Runk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Lennard Fronius and
Anastacio Plaza.
All of
Campania was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
Radioattivo started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Pavone - Madini, Vergnani, Zavagli, Succo - Del Sal, Bortolini, Fasolo, Chiaroni - Renzi, Jannitti.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Roccabascerana.
Lineup: Volume - Carotti, Ceci, Casasola, Armellin - Tobia, Perucchini, Lias, Cappelletto - Nannini, Gibelli.
A badly positioned defensive formation on a free kick after 10 minutes led to Roccabascerana's
M. Carotti giving the visitors the lead 0 - 1.
S. Tobia of Roccabascerana seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
M. Carotti.
By now, the players in Roccabascerana felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
24 minutes into the match, Radioattivo's
P. Renzi collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 1 - 2.
Halftime score was 1 - 2.
Roccabascerana had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.
Radioattivo put pressure on the visitors' central defence 47 minutes into the game, but
A. Vergnani couldn't find an opening.
Radioattivo's
V. Bortolini made an attempt at equalising 54 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound.
C. Armellin's lack of experience almost gave Radioattivo a goal after 55 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Roccabascerana, with 55 percent of the ball.
P. Renzi performed admirably for Radioattivo.
However,
E. Zavagli made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating Roccabascerana player was without a doubt
D. Lias.
On the other hand,
F. Volume's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 2.
