The crowd of 3329 turning up at Cobiat Stadium today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Barnett MacCartair was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fernando Mielle and Kamil Kryża. Cobiat decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Bulović - Mironchik, De Baerdemaeker, Dell'Anna - Sperandio, Troncon, Maffei, Gábriel, Imperiale - Brojka, Coll.

Oiclac tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. Lineup: Borgognoni - Celadin, Zanotto, Sauerhammer, Daddario - Frascari, Senes, Cinotti - Spitoni, Paschin, Fosi.

It was an obvious ambition of Cobiat to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Oiclac used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. 2 minutes into the game, Oiclac seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. 6 minutes into the match, Cobiat's D. Brojka popped up from nowhere, cheekily stole the ball off an opposition player and scored. 1 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Cobiat scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for G. Maffei after 7 minutes. After 19 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Oiclac found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. Cobiat managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when G. Maffei cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After 42 minutes, Cobiat sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached D. Brojka, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 4 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Cobiat lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Cobiat had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Cobiat to 5 - 0 as F. Troncon finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. 5 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cobiat, with 66 percent of the ball.

A review of the gameplan helped Oiclac get back to a passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Cobiat increased the lead as R. Mironchik struck to make the score 6 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Cobiat were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. D. Brojka increased the lead for Cobiat to 7 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! That made three goals for D. Brojka and he was marked down for the hat trick. 76 minutes in, Oiclac appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. Oiclac had to make a substitution after 81 minutes. M. Borgognoni limped off the field and was replaced by R. Bertolissi. With 84 minutes played, T. Paschin of Oiclac fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 85 minutes played, Cobiat put themselves up 8 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to I. Sperandio, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Cobiat enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.

Cobiat's top performer was clearly D. Brojka. G. Maffei turned in a dismal performance, however. Oiclac's best player was E. Frascari. However, M. Cinotti made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 8 - 0.
