Foglia set up A. Baronio for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide. Ferdinando put themselves up 2 - 0 when D. Tedde broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Sarijnen's A. Vedovato got himself booked for a foul. After 30 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and D. Tedde gave the Ferdinando supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Ferdinando, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.

The Ferdinando players could smell victory in the air. D. Tedde wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for E. Lencioni after 55 minutes. M. Sama was handed the Ferdinando captain's armband. 64 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as C. Calarco broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Ferdinando. Confident in their lead, Ferdinando's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. P. Dan left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. H. Freinecker-Schilling was the replacement. Ferdinando's O. Friddahl increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 67 minutes. After 68 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by P. Gaspari might have resulted in another goal for Ferdinando. However, C. Turra made a spectacular save. 77 minutes into the match M. Sama put Ferdinando ahead 6 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick. L. Mele of Ferdinando seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 7 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by M. Sama. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Ferdinando coach let S. Migliorati replace L. Mele after 80 minutes. After 84 minutes, S. Migliorati put Ferdinando ahead 8 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Ferdinando had most of the ball, with 80 percent of possession.

Ferdinando's best player was C. Calarco. E. Lencioni was a disappointment, however. Sarijnen's top performer was clearly M. Jurjiu. C. Turra on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 8 - 0.
