By now, the players in Partenopae felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Väkiparta from Partenopae a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 30 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A penalty was awarded after 36 minutes, and P. Iring made the most of his chance to put Partenopae up by another goal. 0 - 3 for the visitors. A. Väkiparta behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 42 minutes as he gave the ball away to R. Del Vecchio. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. 43 minutes into the game, Partenopae were awarded a penalty and P. Iring was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 4 rolling the ball in by the right post. Partenopae nearly produced a goal as A. Väkiparta set up T. Caryl for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. Partenopae enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

The visitors added to their lead 65 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Partenopae's P. Iring slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 5. At that, P. Iring was noted down for a hat trick! After 66 minutes, Partenopae's A. Cavaliere burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. A drive down the left side allowed A. Cavaliere to get in close and score another goal for Partenopae after 72 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 7. The visitors' P. Baldassarre took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 77 minutes into the match. 0 - 8 for Partenopae. The home crowd cheered when, after 81 minutes, J. Eriksson's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Partenopae claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

Most important ritorno player was T. Minieri. E. Fallani on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Partenopae player was without a doubt P. Iring. However, S. Guri made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
