The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 11153 had shown up at
Pantfield for the match.
Leslie Grimaldi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gian Carlo Marcolin and
Madis Tulveitis.
Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this
Liguria derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents.
Pozzadifegato started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Schlotheim - Dziwis, Niculescu, Kochev, Puppele - Mérigot, Badalyan, Azalgogorreta, Camedda - Gallo, Grego.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Dinamo.
Lineup: Plant - Stitzel, Mansberger, Loreto, Dedaj - Pallone, Adrover, Lorin, Bracco - Stecca, Di Gianpasquale.
Pozzadifegato were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
It was an obvious ambition of Dinamo to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
P. Loreto behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 5 minutes as he gave the ball away to
D. Grego. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
10 minutes into the game,
B. Lorin had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide.
24 minutes into the game,
S. Dedaj was a hair's breadth away from giving Dinamo the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by
B. Schlotheim saved the home team that time.
Halftime score was 0 - 0.
Pozzadifegato enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
After 53 minutes,
P. Loreto made a complete fool of himself when he presented the ball to the feet of
D. Grego who smashed it into the open goal for Pozzadifegato. 1 - 0.
Dinamo needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes
G. Stecca made way for
A. Ruffo.
After 75 minutes, the Pozzadifegato players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game.
A well-executed free kick by
H. Azalgogorreta after 77 minutes made it 2 - 0 for Pozzadifegato.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Dinamo's
L. Adrover was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 78 minutes.
C. Amirante was given a chance to change things around.
E. Gallo wanted to play on, but the Pozzadifegato coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by
R. Sinesi.
The Pozzadifegato players could smell victory in the air.
D. Grego wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
D. Michelucci after 80 minutes.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
R. Sinesi squirmed through their central defence after 82 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pozzadifegato, with 64 percent of the ball.
Pozzadifegato's best player was
H. Azalgogorreta.
B. Schlotheim was a disappointment, however.
L. Di Gianpasquale performed admirably for Dinamo.
However,
A. Ruffo made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 0.
