Mimimmi 2 - 1 Deportivo
(382260861)

28-07-2012 13.15
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 13320 to
Mimimmi United Red Arena.
Espen Haukvik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Álvaro Barbosa and
Miki Määttä.
Mimimmi decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: Di Franco - Galber, Wegschneider, Ancarani, Gambone - Tungér, Haussmann, Glasson, Fassini - Wroniak, Takač.
Deportivo tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Levkovic - Gama, Raquel, Bittante - Egaña, Feberwee, Torresi, Luca nonis, Kuperberg - Boriello, Bucelli.
Down the middle came
L. Bucelli, making a fantastic play that nearly had Deportivo take the lead after 10 minutes, but
O. Di Franco preserved the tie.
The corner kick from
G. Wegschneider was powerfully met by the head of
M. Galber to make the score 1 - 0.
The home team will be cursing
F. Gama for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 32 minutes.
M. Luca nonis had a good try after 34 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
S. De Angelo was called on to replace Mimimmi's
Z. Wroniak after 38 minutes following a nasty collision.
It was 1 - 1 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Deportivo, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
The guests almost went up by a goal after 51 minutes when
L. Kuperberg came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
A. Takač knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 2 - 1 after 52 minutes.
L. Kuperberg enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
The bench was restless, and with 65 minutes passed Deportivo's coach gave
G. Ucci the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
M. Luca nonis reluctantly left the field.
With 70 minutes played, the Deportivo coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
M. Marocco came on,
L. Bucelli had to leave the fray.
A cross coming in on the right hand side left
F. Gama alone in front of the goal after 72 minutes but his shot was woeful.
With 81 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
B. Haussmann needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
Deportivo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
Mimimmi's top performer was clearly
B. Haussmann.
S. De Angelo on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important Deportivo player was
J. Feberwee.
Y. Levkovic turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
