10880 spectators had come to
Zozzoni Millennium Arena this cloudy day.
Gerald Brommer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Vittorio Zanoli and
Daniel Dahlblom.
Zozzoni decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Lusitani - Kevorkian, Di Mauro, Chiaramonti, Turchetto - De Cianni, Bulleri, Dondi, Morini - Bagni, Praderio.
RobertoBariMilan tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Idrizaj - Casaluci, Melina, Voroli, Regine - Doronzo, Ravanello, Niccolini, Minetti - Pasqui, Carrani.
The guests almost went up by a goal after 21 minutes when
A. Pasqui came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
V. Morini scored for Zozzoni putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 26 minutes.
B. De Cianni of Zozzoni received a yellow card after 32 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Zozzoni managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
L. Dondi cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
A bit later, RobertoBariMilan's
G. Casaluci easily reduced the lead to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence.
C. Praderio increased the lead for Zozzoni to 3 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
It was 3 - 1 at the break.
Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.
With 57 minutes played, Zozzoni put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
F. Bagni, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
G. Lusitani made a brilliant save 65 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from
C. Carrani on the right hand side.
The home side's
V. Morini came close to extending the lead 78 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
N. Idrizaj managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Zozzoni's
S. Kevorkian was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 84 minutes.
The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 85 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving
P. Minetti completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper.
Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.
The most dominating Zozzoni player was without a doubt
B. De Cianni.
P. Bulleri turned in a dismal performance, however.
RobertoBariMilan's best player was
A. Pasqui.
On the other hand,
P. Voroli's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 1.
