P. De Meo's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert M. Sanguanini was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for salemi. 0 - 1. After 11 minutes, D. Brucato got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. A drive down the left side allowed M. Pilotino to get in close and score another goal for salemi after 12 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. A marvellous Revolution effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 18 minutes by C. Padrini, making the score 1 - 2. Due to some great work on the right wing Revolution's G. Martone was able to even the score after 24 minutes to make the score 2 - 2. After 31 minutes, salemi put themselves up 2 - 3, as A. Catanzani finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. It was 2 - 3 at the break. Revolution enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

51 minutes into the match, Revolution's A. Byberi maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 3 - 3. With 61 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 4 - 3 lead as L. Cappelli flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 62 minutes, G. Flagiello broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. A. Aiello made a great block, though. With 66 minutes played, Revolution's G. Martone almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Revolution, with 57 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Revolution player was without a doubt A. Byberi. P. Merenda on the other hand, had a terrible day. salemi's top performer was clearly S. Hochkoeppler. A. Stanglini turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
