After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, F. Arturo got himself booked. The manager of Firenze was not happy. V. Buso's inexperience was obvious when his continual hesitation to put in a tackle allowed A. Feola plenty of time to pick an unguarded area of the goal for his shot, marking one for United. 0 - 3. M. Franchi increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. By now, the players in United felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Firenze's top performer was clearly M. Razzini. L. Bocchio was a disappointment, however. United's best player was M. Fuscioni. However, W. Foglia made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 4.
